There's
a saying that you find out who your real friends are
when times are tough. Well, the times are pretty tough
for one of our family members and we're calling on everyone
who can to help out.
Angeline
Saris is not only a phenomenal bassist, teacher and
role model, she's also an important member of our Endorser
family. So when we heard she needed help, we virtually
ran to her aid.
Some
time ago, Angeline was hospitalized due to a blood clot
in her left arm. Like many working musicians, Angeline
does not have health insurance, and while the hospital
has helped as much as they could, there are still a
lot of bills to pay. Even worse, she's not done yet,
and has an operation scheduled for the end of March.
Then she'll have to take at least a month off to recuperate.
Knowing
how difficult the situation is for her, several friends
in the Bay Area have set up a benefit concert for her.

The
concert - on Feb. 13 at the Sleeping
Lady Cafe - will feature Jerry Hannan, with whom
Angeline has done extensive work, and several well known
Bay Area musicians. Angeline will be providing the low
end to keep things groovin'. All proceeds will be used
to defray Angeline's medical expenses.
If
you're in the area and want to hear some great music
while helping a friend, put this one on your calendar.
If you can't attend, but still want to help, visit
Angeline's donation page and chip in whatever you
can. Even if it's a dollar or two, it will still help,
and will let know Angeline you're with her in spirit.
We
would also very much appreciate it if you would help
spread the word on your web site and social network
sites, and in any other way you can.
On
behalf of Angeline and the entire D.N.A. family, thank
you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
